Hi, I’m Sydney Gordon — founder of Folk Vintage and Rentro Closet. My journey into vintage began in college, where what started as a passion for sourcing unique, story-filled pieces quickly grew into something much bigger. I fell in love with the individuality of vintage — the feeling that every piece had a past, a personality, and a life beyond fast fashion. I began selling small collections while studying, learning everything from sourcing and styling to building a community around shared style and self-expression.
In 2021, I took the leap and opened my first shop, Folk Vintage — a space built on creativity, connection, and curated fashion. What started as a small idea became a growing community of people who value timeless style, sustainability, and the magic of finding something truly one-of-a-kind. From there, I expanded into Rentro Closet, bringing the vision of accessible, circular vintage fashion online — allowing more people to rent, discover, and experience curated vintage in a new way.
